Tomball,Texas | My folks have meat saw,we haven’t used it in years,it’s a band saw with the sliding table and the rail you can adjust for the thickness of your cut.The blade broke and was never replaced and we don’t butcher much anymore.
One thing I always thought was neat when we butchered a cow ,we would grind a bunch of hamburger and freeze it.Dad took about a 2 foot piece of 4 “ pvc pipe and cut it in half lengthwise and clamped it together with big hose clamps then packed it full of hamburger meat and put it in the freezer. When we were going to have a big gathering with hamburgers he’d take the two haves apart then saw the patties while it was frozen and they were perfect shape. It might’ve been 4-1/2 or 5” diameter but you cut cut them however thick you wanted on that band saw. | |
