| Trying to organize several years worth of photos onto a new MacBook air laptop. Probably close to 10,000 pictures. As I have loaded them I have also tried to organize them into folders. It seems like I have created a mess of duplicated photos that have sure filled up space in short order. I had rented small space on the i cloud to give me a space to preserve history.
Some photos have been brought in via the i cloud from my i phone, some via a thumb drive from my old windows based desktop.
Been trying to sort and delete but it seems like any delete takes all of the copies regaurdless of which folders they are stored in and then I restore before losing and accomplish nothing.
Not sure how to proceed without taking a chance on losing my originals. Have tried to read and reserch aps or programs to clean things up and end up more confused than ever.
Anyone been there, done that? Ideas for a computer illiterate?
