Subject: Case IH 2344 and 17.5ft 1020 flexhead trouble

Breckinridge County, Kentucky

We've been having a lot of trouble with our flex head running on the ground to much (picking up lots of dirt). We can't get the float set right. There's 3 different settings on the combine, which one do we need to use and how do we set it (downpressure on the head)? Another question, we can't get pods out of our bin. I think we have the concaves set on about 3.5-4 i believe. We've closed the seives until there almost completely closed and have the fan running as fast as it will go. Is there another trick to getting them out?

in corn, this combine flies with a 1063cornhead. Has been the best year for crops here in ky. Have had plenty of rain all year, most of the time to much, and now were having way to much as we can only combine 2-3days at the most then have to quit for 2-6days for rain. Might be able to start back by friday if were lucky. hows everybody's harvest going?

thanks

justin
