Boone, Iowa | I talked to Steve about a month ago at the local Case-IH dealer. He told me that I would like it. I know he does a lot of unloading on the headlands and can slow the engine down to engage the unloading auger. I dump on the go all the time and was worried about shear bolts. I installed the sprocket about 1/2 way through corn harvest and did not break a shear bolt. You have to lengthen your chain by about 3 links, depending on condition of current chain. Once in a while, during engagement on the go, things seem to bang in a little bit harder. For some reason when the tank is about empty, the augers in the tank must not flex as much because I do not hear them hitting the trough floor as bad as the stock sprocket. I shut the unloading auger off as soon as the tank has about 5 bushel left. | |
