| It might be as cheap to buy a complete used unit & replace the whole thing. I did that last year when we broke the 1000 pto shaft on our 1206. Was able to buy a used 540 / 1000 pto unit cheaper than what we were quoted to repair the 1000 and tractor is a lot more handier with the dual pto.
Only had to undo the linkage, take out several bolts & pull the old unit out. Put on a new gasket & bolt the new unit in. One man & a floor crane was all it took.
