Nope, 855's are N series. The precursor to the 855's are the 743's, still N series, I believe they began building them in the 40's. The J's were built in the late 50's and through the 60's. I believe displacements were in the low 600's. They are a smaller version of the N's, with the PT style fuel system. They were probably an OK motor, but some of the fleets tried to run them along side the N's as an "economy" motor, and they didn't hold up so well. Now that I think of it they were more like the forerunner of the 555 or maybe the L10.
