i have a foot switch on my planter tractor and my tillage tractor. i think it is the best way to go, but it really comes down to what you perfer. insatalling that foot switch or rocker switch is as easy as the diagram shows. i think it took me a couple of minutes is all.


The above information is correct. I have two autopilots, one running with an Insight, the other with an EZ-Guide 500. On the Insight I use a momentary rocker switch in the Command Arm of my 8120. On the other tractor I use the keypad or the EZ-Guide 500's buttons.

Note the autopilot does not engage until the switch is released. The normal response is to expect it to engage when the switch is pushed. The switch needs to be pushed for a bit and then released.

This is not a problem once you get used to it. Push the switch a bit early and release when you want the autopilot to take over.
