| GR 8 square head are not commodity items. Those are specials. JD used a similar bolt for wheel weights, but not that long and it is more special with a ribbed shank to hold it in the hole, with the square head.
Maybe some grade 8 threaded rod with grade 2 nuts? Nah, the nuts wouldn't hold up. McMaster has the grade 8 threaded rod, but in my catalog they don't even talk grade on square nuts. So they might be as strong as grade 2. They do show stainless steel nuts that might be stronger at more than $5 a nut.
