It makes everything "under" your control less of a hassle. It is used very often in our shop. Saves on your back and neck and eyes. I wear contacts and laying under a greasy dirty tractor, truck, etc. and trying to locate something 2" from your nose is a bitch. A pit is a dang great investment.
