...maybe Paul Harvey Jr. -- He's done quite a few "Rest of The Story(s)" in the past. The voice is fairly similar.
I have to agree on his spewing of crap. He was bought and paid for by the highest advertising bidder (Walmart was one glaring example). --- Glowing remarks for anyone who feathered his nest.
