I keep a couple around for the "oops".
Also, I use Page Plus Cellular (uses Verizon towers), $80 prepay is 2000 minutes. They also have monthly plans.
Had the provider turn off internet and texting (those cost more per minute). I dont use voice mail either, so thats shut off too.
