Somewhere in North central Iowa | In 1999 my dad retired. In February 2000 he hurt his knee working cattle. Nothing life threatening, just required surgery to rebuild. He had a heart attack in the hospital and died March 1, 2000. He was 64.
It's strange to think since then I got married and now have 2 kids. I sure wish he and my mother (cancer in 1989) had a chance to be grandparents.
