St. Gregor, SK, Canada | Hi,
We run servers, desktops, and workstations, and a bunch of other configurations...
Mac runs a BSD kernel, which is a variant of UNIX (the parent of Linux). They have had virus threats, but nothing to be worried about. They are extremely dependable, stable, and well made.
I have an original Macbook, that's going on two years old now - works just like the day I got it.
I would never get another physical Windows computer. My workstation runs Ubuntu Linux, and If I do need windows for something, there's always VMWare and a virtual copy of Windows.
MS Office works on the Mac, or you can use the F/OSS (Free open source) OpenOffice suite, which has all of the features of MS office, for a great cost... $0.
