Subject: PETA Victory???

Gilroy 35 Miles Over the Hill From Santa Cruz
PETA has claimed another “victory”- Quiznos. In the February 10th press release the company noted that next year, it would buy 5 percent of their turkeys from suppliers who use "controlled atmosphere killing". “The Denver-based chain said it came up with its policy in conjunction with People for the Ethical Treatment of s.” animals

I wish I were the author of the following statement to Quiznos:

“…to emulate PETA as sustainable or green is to ignore thousands of research scientists around the world that have dedicated their lives to the welfare of animals and the environment. PETA kills 97% of the animals it adopts, according to their own filings with the state of Virginia. They and HSUS spend millions trying to convince consumers of their agenda, and essentially nothing on helping the animals or the environment. Why don't they use some of their money to support local animal shelters? Or support research on animal care? Because they would rather be anarchists than really help the system.”

Working along with HSUS, they are working one step at a time to stop the use of animals in any way. They want no use of animals for research for human diseases, no use for production of pharmaceuticals like insulin, they have admitted in the trial in DC that is going on now, that they would rather the animals be dead than used. In North Carolina trial PETA employees were convicted of dumping dogs they went to shelters and vet clinics and "adopted" only to kill them in their van on the way home and dump them in garbage dumpsters. Is that the image you want in Quizno's customers minds?

The men and women who provide the safest food in the world, American farmers, deserve more from you than your support of PETA.”

Well said.
