north east IN | Had a post couple weeks ago about our engine on our 9300 having problems. Blowing up. So took it back to the company that did the overhaul. It only had 500 hours on the overhaul but was 2.5 years and all the parts were from jd. They said there was not anything they could do. From there investigation the liner was in a 1000 pieces that went all through the engine took out the turbo and cracked the block. They think it could be two things, the snap ring on the wrist pin broke and it came out or it was a fuel problem dumping to much fuel in that cylinder. It would cost $41000 to rebuild that engine or they found a used one out of a 9400 with 8000 hours I could drop in with no warranty for $28500. I hate putting in an 8000 hour engine but can’t afford a $41000 engine. Anybody have any suggestions or know where I could get an engine with a few less hours | |
