few years back a storm come through and blew down all out corn. It didn't blow it over but snapped the stalks off about 6" above the ground. It was on July 22nd. So whatever the corn had put on the ear was all that it made. It wasn't as bad picking up because it blew it sideways across the rows. Other fields where it blew it down the rows was horrible in picking it up.
