NW Washington | As long as the alternator puts out 12 volts and has the current rating needed it should work. Is the voltage regulator in the alternator or is it a separate unit on your swathes? An aftermarket parts place like NAPA or whoever you have in Canada should be able to find a less expensive alternator.
Next question, are you sure your alternator is not working? Has it been tested? How much troubleshooting has been done on the electrical system? | |
