We was hoping to get started here too. Lots of grass and alfalfa lodged bad. The bottom foot of grass is yellow-brown to slimy rot. Mushrooms galore. Still ain't drying weather either. Couple alfalfa fields are just blooming so that's a plus. Oats alfalfa mix looks great. Prairie hay-brome-alfalfa is unreal. I pressed some barley-peas into some older alfalfa brome stand...I was surprised that the peas could compete with everything. Probably would have been even better if I would have ran some fertilizer down with it. Only had 9350 drill and basically no down pressure.

Good luck on haying, afterall we are all only a month behind. lol but not lol
