| I have been trying to convince people since the middle of June that is the case. The majority of the soybeans were planted in June and that just is no way going to equal the early planted high yielding beans of the last2 years. Bean yields are all about nodes and the fact is late planted beans will have fewer nodes and less of a photosynthesis factory, especially the further north you go. I am not talking about short beans either you can have short plants with a lot nodes, but with the late planting there just is not enough time to put on those nodes needed for high yields. | |
