Subject: RE: Wife's car, opinions on chevy traverse and GMC acadia

We have had 2 buick enclaves. They are the same basic unit as the Acadia and the traverse.
The traverse is the economy model, the Acadia is a “sport” model and the Buick is the luxury model.
With that said if you buy a traverse with the high end package with all the bells and whistles it will be the about the same price as a similarly equipped Buick.
You can do what you want but the resale on them is crap- similar to a minivan. I buy them off lease with 20 or 30 thousand miles and we run them to 150,000. We have yet to make a make a major repair to one.... now that I said that it will brake down tomorrow.
I prefer the Buick as it is quite and rides a bit better.
The Acadia has a smaller trunk area.
These are basically high end minivans. My wife doesn’t want to be a minivan mama, doesn’t want to park a large Tahoe or suburban, but on occasion needs to seat 7 so these things are a good fit for that. The gas mileage on them is right at 20. I think that’s poor considering they are not that big of vehicles.
