There is an importer in Champlain that specializes in shipping rentals from Nova Scotia to dealers in America. Any place with a lot of tourists renting cars and a low residential population will have a surplus of rentals that have to move. You will have more to do if you buy in Canada but the dollar will go farther. Most Canadian dealers near the border are familiar with import requirements.
