I don't see how you got that. I know of 3 loads that left here this week, the last of the week for 1.17, 1.23 before trucking and weighed around 950. They went west.
I have 2 loads of 950s I’m trying to market and seeing bids around 118-119. So i think you are right in line.
I think you are better off selling light in times of rising feed cost. I think a good load of weaned 650lb steers would come close to bringing what the load of 800s did for my area.
I’m currently planning to just finish my 9wts. Those bids are too cheap vs fat cattle. It doesn’t cost 1.15 to put a lb on a 9wt.... well it shouldn’t but with the weather who knows. I’m taking my chances
