| In machine shops we use emuge taps. They are one of the best money can buy. I’ve seen a guy accidentally program a mill to tap 5/16 holes at 800 rpm and it actually did it no problem! This brand is likely more expensive than necessary but I find you get what you pay for with taps so if you went with blue point or some other “known name” you likely won’t be disappointed. It’s a crying shame anymore that we end up having to search through the junk to find good quality | |
