Unfortunately half of my idiot stories involve farmers and tractors/implements/pickup trailers on the highway in the dark, with no lights or the field lights on. few years back had a farmer who gave me some reflective tape their 4h club was giving away for safety. he said he thought of me right way cause his wife came up behind me on a tar road at night and I didn't have lights on the back of the round baler yada yada. couple years later i'm going down a gravel road pitch dark with the semi during corn harvest. kinda like what the he-- is ahead of me, there's something there. lo and behold its the guy that was on my a-- for not having lights and he's pulling a gravity box with a jd 2 banger with one light up front about as bright as candle. |
