For others that farm the fringes with poorer soils and higher deer pressure is canopy and later weed pressure an issues.
Organic 30" beans here on a 10+ year rotation. A cover crop following the previous years wheat crop really helps with the weeds....I dare say weeds are not a problem for the most part so I expect they will be even less of a problem with a herbicide. Approximate rotation is Clover-alf-alf-alf-alf-alf-wheat-SB-peas-wheat-oats-clover.
And yes the deer love to walk down those rows. You'll have no beans around the field perimeter in a wooded area unless they dislike the herbicide not sure if that will keep them away or not
