it is quite possible that so many fields look not planted or sprayed is that they might be planted into this mess of marestail and mustard and the other winter and early spring weeds and then an application of dicamba/roundup is to follow planting beans. we have til june 20 to apply dicamba in Indiana unless changed in the last few minutes.
