I hope big oil wins, not trying to stir the pot just I am in oil country just as some are in the corn belt.
But still don't understand how corn for ethanol is a renewable resource. Last I checked alit of oil products used to bring corn into fuel.

A dry grind ethanol plant that produces and sells dried distillers grains and uses conventional fossil fuel power for thermal energy and electricity produces slightly more than twice the energy in the form of ethanol delivered to customers than it uses for corn, processing, and transportation. Specifically, we calculated the energy ratio at 2.1 using the survey based on a byproduct creditfor a dry mill that drys the DGs using natural gas power. The ratio is a little higher, at 2.3 BTUof ethanol for 1 BTU of energy in inputs, when a more generous byproduct credit based on an engineering model is used
