Thanks for the information, I will try throwing the ones that won't fill on the ground a few times and see if that will jar the safety valves loose. I have been filling these for 20 plus years, learning from my uncle.

So do the 100 lb. tanks still have the old style valve?? Thought someone above mentioned that. A 100 lb. tank would probably work better for what I am using it for.....

Is there anywhere you can buy the old style valves? If so, where? I could just take the opd valves off and replace them with regulars. As for blue rhino, those tanks are clearly labeled 15 lbs., so its kind of like what has happened to ice cream and potato chips and cereal. Illegal, no, Misleading/deceitful, yes. I don't think you can buy a 5 quart pail or 1/2 gallon of ice cream any more.
