Subject: RE: Serrated opener blades

Western Ky.
Sidewall compaction is a big issue this year here in Ky. On ground that was notilled early and was wetter than it should have been when planted it has really showed up. I like to brag on the CaseIH opener system, but we have some sidewall issues also. I have a hard time understanding how the serrated openers would help with sidewall compaction. Anyone have any theories as to how they help. Convince me and I will have a new set on the planter next year.
