When doing low ground hay Meadows, I would be happy to not get a sp swather stuck more than once a hour.
Some guys keep a tiw tractor & operator in a hay meadow all the time swather is running. Some went to the bidirectional tractors eith a header mounted on them. People that ground that cuts easier, still use double bar mowers pulled with dueled up 4wd tractors.
Usually baler tractor, 4wd & huge tires on baler don't get stuck where a sp swather cut. This is one place a vemer baler is not as good as a jd or new Holland.
Do try to bale the softest spots with a bale just started good, because of weight difference.
Once swathed some ground I didn't know. Had 18.4 duals on my 1114 new holland. Get off once in awhile and walk around. If I jumped up and down and the sod rolled in waves, it was best to not swath there !
