Only disadvantage to the single spear type in round bales, is a rotten twine bale can spin and shell off, if it's speared off-center. With net-wrapped bales, particularly if stored in a barn, a single spear works fine. The two small spears below the main one are nice, but not to be depended on for keeping the bale from spinning. | |
