Chebanse, IL..... | Worms are now just shriveled carcasses laying on top of the mud. Seems they can't hold their breath very long in water.
When it rains 1" our entire gravel yard is covered with them. Must be millions of nightcrawlers. A few hours after rain stops they are all dead. Next big rain...same thing all over.
Maybe some of the animal activists can come over from Fair Oaks & save them during the next rain.
So, I'd say most ground in the corn belt is now void of night crawlers. They're all drowned. |
