Subject: RE: Ace Centrifugal Pump Housing leaks on Sprayer Pump

Pilot Grove, Missouri
I have used the o-ring with a thin coat of RTV gasket silicone, with good success. Had a similar situation with mine last year. Pump all of a sudden quit pumping. Took it apart and the impeller nut had come off, the impeller and the shaft were both slightly damaged in the keyway area. It was on the weekend, so i got it put back together and working. Monday I ordered a new shaft, impeller seal kit and bearings. Before I got the new parts installed, the rear housing started leaking. It had worn thin enough that it cracked. FDS was kind enough to take all the parts back and order me a new pump, as it was cheaper than replacing everything mentioned above and the rear housing. I was able to weld up the rear housing, to finish spraying what I was working on until the new pump arrived. Patrick
