I owned a 4800 for a good number of years, I am guessing it was a late 80's production. I'm not sure if the 43 or the 48 came first but mine had a hard bronze looking bushing for the oscillator. Seems like it was a stub shaft that fit through it that was fairly decent to remove. I recall replacing one bushing and stub shaft while I owned it. They wore very well.
