What if you are not putting in pattern tile and you just lay a couple lines spread out with the plow and hit the old clay tile. Wouldn't it cause a tile hole if the old tiles were still draining? I can see if you were pattern tilling the whole field then you would suck up the moisture with the new tile and the old tile wouldn't have anything to drain and wouldn't make a tile hole.
