Subject: RE: Cost to lease bulls for the breeding season?

Beresford, SD
When I was leasing, $1000 for yearlings, $1500 for two year olds. Had them 100 days, covered heifers for 45 days then cows the balance. Last year had 4 yearlings they covered 45 hfrs. And 52 cows, with the help of one two year old I bought. One yearling broke his wank, no cost to me and a replacement was provided. I thought it was fair, own 5 bulls now......wanted to get more Terminal genetics as I won’t keep any of my own as replacements.
