Subject: RE: Pellet Grills?

After I bought a new Traeger I saw a video of a pellet grill with the fire pot clean-out and thought I would have liked that feature. But after some time using mine I like to shop-vac under the heat shield and grates frequently because of the amount of ash outside of the fire pot.

I don't know if all pellet grills have the same issue, but my Traeger can struggle to get to the 450 degree level. I called tech support and everything checked out on how the grill worked and was set up, but I still would like to get to the high setting more consistently.

That said, my family prefers the meat coming off the Traeger to anything I did on the charcoal Weber it replaced.

I rarely grilled anything before we got this thing and looking back, I fear it was a plot on my wife's part to have me do all the meat.

Not a "techy" guy but the wifi feature would be really handy for monitoring the temps when you're away from the grill, also for being able to know the internal temp of the meat has reached your target when doing other things.
