Subject: RE: Hedging my bet

Central Iowa
I hedged and greased my old IH 8 section pull type. It took about 1 tube to grease those white iron bearings. I wanted to be ready in case I needed it. It turns out I won't be needing it as the corn is coming up just fine through the crust. The stand loss will be where there is standing water in my pot holes. A planter is the only thing that can rescue those areas. With the rain that is predicted here, rotary hoeing is probably moot anyway.
