I bring up the drain tile to 10 inches from the top dig a trench 90 degs from the water flow and place a 4 inch ten foot long sewer pipe in the trench and fill with clear 6A washed stone
20 years and still working I don't want any sticks going into my tile that would pass a foot log gap
