Subject: RE: Power probe to inject voltage into a wire for finding a break?

Tuscola, IL
I bought one off the snap on truck about 5 years ago. Only used it once or twice. The main reason I bought it wasn’t for finding breaks in wires, but I liked the fact I could hook it to both power and ground sources so I could check for power or ground at a connector without having to change settings on a multimeter and/or swap leads. Where I typically find myself testing on electrical circuits, the harness isn’t really laid out to where I can follow it with the detector. I really should use it more often, but I almost always just go for the multimeter or, for simple issues, the test light is still pretty handy. I don’t regret buying the power probe though. May just have to get it out and play with it tomorrow. Not anything else to do but watch it rain.
