We have been feeding brewers mash for a long time. It will provide excellent fat flavor to a mostly forage finished mature aged beef animals. We feed it free choice with free choice good hay. Does well for us developing bull calves without pushing them too hard.

Definitely has its downsides on consistent supply from a micro brewery. Which is why we don’t rely on it for a ration. It’s a fine thing if you get it for a good deal (we give the brewer one beef animal per year in exchange for the mash) but if you can’t use it
As supplemental feed, the inconsistency might make it a poor choice.
