NW KS/ SC ID | IMO get a service manual and some repair tools (Lisle makes them) and dig in.
Saginaw columns are best tore apart on a workbench, not in vehicle.
They are kinda simple to work on when out of the vehicle, on a bench, and with the proper tools.
GM dealer can get most if not all parts still.
Last one I worked over was in a 92 1 ton chevy, and with the new blinker switch and ignition switch and tumbler, I think I was about 100 bucks into it.
