Somerville, Indiana
Although I have wondered why you should even notice, I have been thinkin..

I know that my grass hopper GH doesn't make dark-light tracks like you
describe...Never noticed before, always happy to have the GH, I mow at
3 inches or taller, cut before 4 or 4.5...I enjoy mowing w my GH...Non
turbo, gas even, Kohler powered, cheap off the line 6 ft cut with no
gauge weels...Purfect mower here..

Difference=unlike the Olive Green Canary Yellow built by cheapest contractor
of Deere Inc, the GH has spring loaded weight adjusting linkage to the mower
from the tractor half...There for the front tars carry more weight than most
other mowers...I have come to think that is the reason for the two colored
tracks that you experience..

All mowers that I have experience with here, have three blades, all turn the
same direction, right tight left loose from underneath to remove with 3/4 inch
six side socket on more than ten year old battery powered Snap On cost too much
hand held impact...They have to turn right to inject grass out the shoot (chute)...
That wood be clockwise looking past driver's feet while sitting in seat...
Unless one has the girly grind underneath mower that loses out in the run for
wet tall Ky 31...Mow in late afternoon after early supper when wind is light and
temperature shorter in the balmy Hoosier State is more friendly for my non turbo
air cooled gas powered 2 cyl short life Kohler...Short life lengthened considerable by
using 50wt gas engine oyl spiked 50% with STP, both with Zinc for non roller cam
bilt on the cheap for lower list price engine...Together they hold oil consumption and
Champion 71 plug usage to a bear minimum..
