That reminds me of when we were still doing direct seed planting and running the Marvin Landplane Co. Incorporators and later the Johnson Incorporators which were a heavy duty rototiller with a bed shaper built in. They were 3 row 66” although Marvin built a 6 row 66” which was a heavy power hungry beast that required 6 lift assist wheels for the three point to handle.

The theee row was on a power shift 4440 or 4640 and you would be in first gear sometimes on the 4640 you could nudge it into second, but it could destroy the gearbox on the Incorporator, it would do something else to the white colored tractor :(

That all went away when the seed cost passed $400 per acre and about that time transplants become cheeper to grow and faster to plant.
