NE SD | We will plant corn until June 1. We are 60% done with corn and no beans. It looks like the sun will be out tomorrow and I will find a dry hill top to plant tomorrow afternoon and probably be going full bore friday but there is a small chance of rain on friday currently. Not whole fields but whatever we can plant. Some was not fertilized last fall and will get sidedressed later so we don't have to wait for NPK to go on. If the forecast holds through sunday we will probably have 90-95% in before it rains on Monday again and will PP the other 5-10%. Might be some replant don't know as the first we planted is just sprouting. We are heavily tiled tho and although we strip till we started hitting fields with vertical tillage so we could get started. It feels my 2 county area is more like 50% done vs what USDA days for the whole state so maybe we are one of the drier spots? | |
