Southeast PA | Have a ectc500 at work, this spring in heavy wet rye I smoked the clutches on the driveline. This was after cutting about 100 acres. They had replaced them this winter, so I think they need checked and readjusted periodically. I only smoked them, they didn't catch fire, so I tightened them down to 11/16" (calls for .70) in the field with the measuring lines on my Leatherman to get me going.
Other guy said the clutches are very touchy with adjustment, and don't like dirt mowing into the dirt either.
