Central Ga | We are certainly dry in most parts of Ga. and going to really heat up this week. No chance of rain in the seven day forecast and highs of 97 by the weekend. We need a rain now. We just endured the wettest fall and most hellish cotton harvest in almost 30 years of farming. At least we have good subsoil moisture and our wells are in great shape. Looks like they might get a workout. Any corn not under irrigation is in bad shape and will be toast in a few more days. | |
