I've never done an APMD but with a regular autopilot the dead zones are done in the advanced TAP parameters. It can be done in the FMX. Just type in DZL for the left deadzone and DZR for the right. Increase the number by .5 until is steers to much then back down by .1 until it steers the way you want. Assuming it is the same as autopilot.
