| Prevent plant means you give up your harvest price option on your crop insurance, but calls would replace that.
I bot a couple Dec futures the other day to offset my sales I had on already. If we don't get any planted and I don't have the HPO it will be hard to buyout the contracts if the pp is widespread and price does go higher. I'll sell the positions as soon as the planter drops if that happens. 85% coverage will cover those sales, 55% will not.
I'm still pretty short beans and am confident we will get those planted. | |
