N.W. Ohio | With 1/2-1”+ potential predicted tonight, my area of Ohio will add very little progress. Did see one 6 row planting corn on sand this morning. But man!, it looked wet. Mostly clay soils around here and the water isn’t draining as good as it was a month ago. My dad used to make mention of how this soil turns “sour” after being saturated for extended periods of time. I’m thinking that’s where we are now? Looking to be potentially far worse than 11 or 15 around here and those were some pretty wet springs. | |
